Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will be warmly received and transferred to your comfortable hotel in Leh. Leh sits at a considerable altitude of around 11,500 ft, and this first day is intentionally reserved for acclimatization. This allows your body to adjust comfortably to the high altitude of Ladakh, preventing altitude sickness and ensuring a pleasant start to your holiday. After checking in, it is strongly advisable to rest for a few hours and avoid any strenuous physical exertion. In the late afternoon, if you feel up to it, you can take a leisurely stroll around the local Leh market area. Soak in the peaceful mountain atmosphere, browse through the Tibetan handicrafts, and savour the local flavours. Remember to hydrate well and take it easy. Overnight stay in Leh.
